Old Fashioned Charm
We had a beautifully decorated, high-ceiling room with our own small private balcony where we enjoyed an evening wine after the Light Opera in town. Great location in that we walked everywhere, to the College of Wooster campus for the show, then downtown for dinner and back to our lodging. Our own private and lockable bathroom being down the hall was no problem. It was clean and quite modern. The bedroom's stand-alone, portable air conditioner did the job, providing a white noise for sleep.
I would only suggest a small fan to move the air if one does not want to use the A/C. Thoughtfully, our hosts left a plate of delicious oatmeal cookies on a sideboard near the back entrance for enjoyment of the late-comers after the opera. How nice.

Great location for college trip in Wooster
Lovely Victorian house, with lots of interior woodwork and decorative detail. Clean, comfortable, friendly. Bed was the right mix of firmness and comfort. Excellent breakfast, including a very tasty omlet.

New owners - same wonderful experience!
This was our 3rd stay at the Market Street Inn, now in the caring hands of Tom and Mary Joy (and their energetic puppy). Best news - breakfast is served 30 minutes earlier! And it is delicious. We will be back in the future.

Wonderfully historic and peaceful
We truly enjoyed our first stay at the Market Street Inn, and we'll be back. Beautifully appointed rooms, great hosts and delicious food. It's located conveniently to Wooster College, which makes it ideal for the Ohio Light Opera attendee.

A Gem in a Gem of a town
My husband and I were fortunate to find this gem on our drive home to Michigan from Delaware. It is very apparent that Tom and Mary Joy work relentlessly to provide their guests with every amenity ( and more). The breakfast of lemon ricotta pancakes, scones , yogurt parfait and fresh fruit was excellent. The home and gardens are meticulously maintained. Mary Joy’s recommendations for local dining and events were appreciated. We enjoyed coffee and wine on our private balcony and coffee and ice cream on the front porch. The location is perfect for walking to downtown shops, restaurants and the college. We highly recommend the MSI!

All is well at Market Street Inn
When we learned that our favorite Wooster area B&B was up for sale the worry set in. Would the new owners make changes in the food, style, service or even accommodations that would not meet the high standards we had become accustomed to on our multiple previous stays there? The answer is that all is well. The new owners have even improved a bit here and a bit there.
The Market Street Inn is a Victorian era mansion the demands constant attention to maintenance and even previously overlooked details are being tended to. Our breakfast of Greek Omelette with spinach, lamb and feta cheese baked in followed the moist and fluffy scones, a yogurt parfait and fresh fruit. The coffee is of the finest coffee that a coffee lover can hope for at a B&B.

Wonderful home and amazing owners!
My daughter and I recently stayed at the MSI during a college visit. We were in the Lewis room, which we loved!
Tom and Mary Joy are extremely friendly and helpful with finding places to eat in the area. The breakfast was amazing - scones to die for! I enjoyed some of the best coffee while sitting on the front porch, which is also fabulous!
New friends were made and stories were shared as we enjoyed wine on the front porch at night. This is a place you will definitely want to come back to!

Good times with good friends
A wonderful place to spend with friends. The owners are great. They are helpful and friendly. They recommended places to try and informative on the area.
It is easy to walk to restaurants and the downtown shopping. There is a farmers market in the square on Sat mornings. We bought fresh produce and baked goods. And saw the owners shopping there as well.
The decor is so nice and breakfast is delicious. Would definitely recommend it to anyone traveling in the area.

Lovely place! We spent the first night of our honeymoon there and just went back to celebrate 6 years. The ownership changed in September, but the new owners are great! They've done some worthwhile updated to the place, including a little all hours tea and coffee room. Breakfast included delicious homemade cinnamon scones, yogurt parfait with homemade granola, and a veggie omelet. Both times we visited we came on Sundays which worked for our plans, but if you want to check out downtown Wooster come during the week! There's a cut shopping district with a great bookstore, good food, and some antique stores. We'll be back!
