Corkscrew willow ..... just managed to figure out what it was with the help of AI. We did not plant this, it appeared several years ago on its own, very small, and we never cut it down. We suspected it was in the willow family but didnt know what kind until now. It has a really pretty form and we think well keep it pruned so it stays compact.

Another beautiful August day here in Charlotte Valley. Today we saw a bunny rabbit, a groundhog, a red fox, and our sweet hummingbirds. Need to refill our feeders. A bit on the warm side with increased humidity today BUT this is August and we are thankful for the privilege of being able to live here all year round. We never take it for granted!

August is at our doorstep and it has been a glorious summer so far! We have been spotting more hummingbirds who just delight us! We also have spotted a resident cottontail and a groundhog. Also several pairs of Ravens. Don't you just love the country?
Stop by the Antique shop and say hello to us and our woodland friends! There's a lot more summer to come!
