And so chemo began...

This is where my journey took an unexpected turn.

For months, I had poured my heart into my land. Every tree cleared, every plan drawn, every dream for Wynne Ridge Tiny Home & RV Park brought me one step closer to the future I imagined.

Then breast cancer changed everything.

The land work stopped. The plans were put on hold. Instead of spending my days working outside, I spent them in doctor's offices, surgery rooms, infusion centers, and recovery.

There were days I felt frustrated watching the grass grow back and seeing my dream sit untouched. But I learned something important: sometimes the bravest thing you can do is pause one dream so you can fight for your life and protect the chance to see that dream come true.

This old video reminds me of where I was before the battle began. Today, I can look back and see just how far I've come.

I didn't give up on my dream. I simply had to fight a different battle first.

And now, little by little, I'm finding my way back.

💗 From building a park to battling cancer, and now rebuilding both my health and my dreams.

This photo was taken just a few days before my breast cancer journey began.

On July 1, 2025, I underwent a double mastectomy, followed by months of chemotherapy. The road hasn't been easy. There were days filled with fear, pain, exhaustion, and uncertainty. My life was put on pause as my focus shifted from building dreams to simply fighting to heal.

One of the hardest parts was watching my land sit untouched. The plans I had worked so hard on had to wait, and nature slowly began reclaiming what I had started. There were times when I wondered if I would ever have the strength to get back to it.

But cancer may have delayed my dreams—it didn't take them away.

Today, I look at this photo and see someone who had no idea what was ahead. I also see someone who refused to quit. Every scar tells a story. Every setback taught me strength. And now, as I continue healing, I'm slowly returning to the land, the dreams, and the life I fought so hard to keep.

One step at a time. One day at a time. One victory at a time.

Owning land in Arkansas is a blessing, but it can be frustrating when others don't respect it. Recently, we've had to clean up trash that doesn't belong to us. Littering and illegal dumping don't just make a property look bad—they harm the environment, attract pests, and create unnecessary work for landowners.

Please respect private property and help keep our communities clean. Good neighbors don't throw their trash on someone else's land.

I'm not giving up yet.

This is the last photo I got of my mom walking the land with me. She passed away on January 22, 2025.

That day, we walked the property together, talking about everything we had accomplished and all the plans for what would come next.

She listened as I shared my dreams, and together we imagined the future of this land.

Now, every step I take here carries a piece of her with me. The dreams we talked about are still alive, and I hope to make her proud as I continue building what we started discussing that day.

I miss you, Mom. ❤️
