The Hospitality looks quite different than the last time we showed it off! It has gotten a huge upgrade with a new art piece from India. This group project was almost a year in the making as Cameron Gassaway handmade the frame and Naomi Rushell Shakur and LyAnn Ruth Mowen helped mount the art.

We’ve also touched up the art in the hall leading to the suite and added a few final touches to the fireplace.

Had a Graduation visit with one of our Cedarville families this weekend. The Stills Family has been with us every step of our journey and it’s bittersweet that we won’t see them on Move In/Move Out or Parent’s Weekend! Fortunately, Christi Stills is a talented composer and pianist who plans to return for our upcoming Concert in the Parlor Series!

Flowering Quince - blooms early spring and some years, the bright orangish red blooms can be seen with ice and snow on the ground. We moved this particular bush two years ago with great concern that we might lose it in the process. But the quince and a Rose of Sharon were intertwining with the Quince taking a loss, so we took the chance and moved it. She survived!
