Has May felt absolutely nonstop for anyone else? Yeah? Same here. A quiet weekend at the lake sounds pretty perfect right about now.

We still have a few motel rooms and cabins open for this weekend, May 29-31, making it easy to sneak away, slow down, and enjoy some peaceful lakeside time.

During May 15-17, 2026, you can get into Lewis & Clark Recreation Area for FREE (no entrance fee required) and you can fish in Lewis and Clark Lake without a license. (regulations and limits still apply). HECK of a deal.

Step Two: Pack up the crew (the dog can come, too!) and get to Yankton.

Step Three: Enjoy a peaceful and relaxing weekend at the lake with the following ITINERARY:

✔ Friday Night - hang out under the stars around the campfire. Relax, catch up, unwind.

✔ Saturday Morning - walk over to Marina Bar and Grill for brunch.

✔ Saturday Afternoon - enjoy the sunshine! Hike the nearby trails, borrow our bikes, explore Lewis & Clark Recreation Area, or just lay on the beach. Play a game of mini golf at Karttrax Family Fun Park, then treat yourselves to ice cream at Dairy Dock of Yankton.

✔ Saturday Night - grab some burgers from Meat Lodge down the road and fire up the grill. Put your feet up and enjoy the views of Lewis and Clark Lake as the sun sets and lights up the golden bluffs.

✔ Sunday Morning - get brunch at the Marina again. It's just too good not to.

✔ Sunday afternoon - take one more walk along the water to work off those pancakes. Head home and listen to Mom go on about how great the weekend was.
