There was a few of us in shock and awe when the Grand Master of the Masonic Lodge of Texas walked in our doorway. Apparently there was some clues given out to a secret visit in the weekly Gazette newspaper. It was an awesome night at this stated meeting, one for the record books.

Yantis Lodge #382 had their stated meeting tonight. We had the DDGM visit and we had a surprise visit as well. Minds blown when Rite Worshipful Grand Master Jim Rumsey of the Grand Lodge of Texas walked in! It was a great meeting!!!

Tomorrow, Tuesday, August 11 is our regular stated meeting. There will be a meal at 6:30 with the meeting to follow. We will also be receiving the DDGM on his last official visit. If you are a Mason, or a member of Yantis #382 and have not been in awhile, this is the perfect time for you to come back and join your brothers in the fellowship of our fraternity. Hope to see you there.

The masons of Yantis Lodge 382 put on their chefs hats and gathered at the Yantis independent school district cafeteria. There they fed 50+ YISD employees breakfast consisting of scrambled eggs, sausage patties, biscuits and gravy, and fresh fruit to help them kick off the 2026–2027 upcoming school year. We are so grateful for these people who are our children’s educators, which is our future. We want to give a shout out to Clayton Farms for their egg donation and GO Fish Cafe for their sausage gravy donation. It was greatly appreciated.
