We’re expanding!!!
 
Introducing Gaia Ranch 🐴🌵
 
Located just 15 minutes from sister property, GAIA VILLA RETREATS - JOSHUA TREE, CA, Gaia Ranch is a five-acre sanctuary that will grow into a place even more deeply connected to the land. A place for gardens, animals, community, learning, and slower living. A place where nature isn’t just the backdrop, but part of the experience itself.
 
Gaia Ranch will be available for wellness retreat bookings, and serve as home for Sevā Seeds Collective, allowing us to expand retreats and programs for underserved youth, caregivers, nonprofit leaders, and communities who often have the least access to restorative spaces.
 
Like the land itself, Gaia Ranch will grow gradually. Over the coming months and throughout 2027, we’ll nurture it with intention, adding accommodations, gardens, animals, gathering spaces for workshops and community, adding water features, and so much more!
 
Most of all, we hope this becomes a co-creation and something we build together!
 
If you feel called to contribute your gifts through gardening, permaculture, carpentry, landscaping, hospitality, design, caring for animals, or simply lending a hand, send us a DM!

Every August, hundreds of shooting stars streak across the night sky during the Perseid meteor shower. ✨

August 12-13 is expected to be the best time to watch, with up to 100 meteors per hour visible under ideal conditions. Even better, this year’s peak coincides with a new moon, creating some of the darkest skies and best viewing conditions possible.

Joshua Tree is one of the best places in Southern California to experience it. As an International Dark Sky Park, its minimal light pollution, high elevation, and remarkably clear desert skies create exceptional conditions for stargazing.

One of the first things guests notice when they walk into Gaia Villa is the large handmade tapestry that fills our soaring living room wall.

Its story began in Morocco.

After attending a close friend’s wedding, Rob and I took a small journey to the Ourika Valley. Along the way, we made an accidental, yet memorable, detour to a rug atelier nestled alongside the Ourika River, surrounded by breathtaking mountain views and scenery.

Hundreds of handwoven rugs were stacked from floor to ceiling, displayed all over walls, and covering the rooftop deck. After what felt like hours of searching, I found this one.

Handwoven from cactus silk and dyed with natural pigments by local artisans, it later found its home GAIA VILLA RETREATS - JOSHUA TREE, CA. 🧡

Many of the decor and furnishings throughout Gaia Villa aren’t simply decorations. They come from meaningful chapters of my life. Some traveled home with me from journeys around the world, some once lived in the yoga studio I founded in Los Angeles, many custom made with love, and even heartfelt gifts from loved ones.

Each one carries a story, a place, and the energy of the people who created it.

My hope has always been that Gaia feels less like a vacation rental and more like a home filled with intention, where every detail has a soul.

A familiar little presence around Gaia Villa.

You’ll often find him perched on a warm wall, keeping an eye on the property and soaking up the Joshua Tree sunshine.

A small reminder that Gaia isn’t separate from the desert around it. It’s part of a living landscape, shared with the plants, creatures, and quiet rhythms that make this place feel so alive.
