Kamp Keenan - 10 Acres away from the Stress of Everyday!!! (Unless you are on the grounds crew!!!) And that's important as our doors our always open.

Kamp Keenan was established in 2005 as an experiment of "City Folks moving to the Country" (think the show "Green Acres" with the roles reversed). It allowed Joan to live out a dream by trading in our 1/3 acre in NY, for 10 Acres and a Log Home in PA. It was outfitted with various farm tools, equipment and 4-wheelers, as well as "Pets" you would not see in a typical Long Island neighborhood (ducks

, mini-goats & horses). While we have seen our fair share of challenges, we are still surviving today. Several improvements have been made over the years, adding creature comforts for both our human and not so human guests. We have had many friends/family join us for long or short stays and hosted an interesting array of stray animals. The years have also seen a number of wonderful events, some more memorable (or notorious) than others, but all based on providing a fun, welcoming experience for all. Kamp Keenan has evolved into a retreat where friends and family can come, relax and hopefully forget their stress and enjoys themselves for a while!
