Here is a little video we took from our fishing boat as we cruised up the river in our fishing boat along our campground area. The water at the time was up about 3-4' from normal due to heavy rains upstream.

Early in the week the river came up a fair amount from some rain and we were able to run our fishing boat in up and down the river!

So this weekend we had a camper come with a 27’ travel trailer. We snapped a picture of him as he was pulling out through the dip down to the camping area. Being there was about 3” of clearance from his rear jacks we’ve updated our maximum RV trailer length from 25’ to 27’. It may still be possible a 30’ trailer would clear, however, we don’t want someone to travel a distance only to find out they can’t clear the dip down to the camping area. A 30’ 5th wheel, however, would likely be fine as it’s the distance from the truck bumper that is the concerning factor. We will provide an update if we find longer campers can clear the dip!

We’ve had 15 different bookings since we listed our Double J campsites on Hipcamp over the 4th of July. It’s been a blessing getting to meet everyone and see them enjoying themselves. One of those campers, who goes by the name “Second-chance George”, has his own YouTube channel and created a video of his camping/fishing experience here at The Double J. We were blown away on all the fish he caught, in particular a monster brown trout! Be sure to check out his video!

Welcome to the Double J, we are excited to share our new Riverside tent/RV listing!

We, Jeff & Julie Bremer, your hosts at The Double J, own 71 acres just outside of Zumbrota, MN. About half is tillable and the other half is woods and horse pasture. Within that, there is a secluded 3-acre meadow nestled down along a beautiful 1,200 foot stretch of the Zumbro River where we’ve setup 5 tent/RV campsites. Each site (approximately 100' wide and 75' deep) is able to accommodate up to 8 people, and more than one tent or RV. We provide and maintain an outhouse and keep the entire area mowed throughout the year. All sites offer good shade and access to the river, perfect for those hot summer days!

Reserving adjacent sites, or all of the sites, makes for the ideal setting for a large family or group camp-out. In order to prevent overcrowding, we do reserve the right to limit number of campers per site based on overall parties/campers in the camping.

Activities to be enjoyed include fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking and tubing (canoes/kayaks/tubes not included).

We enjoy being able to share our property with others and is our desire to promote a safe, peaceful, family-friendly environment, therefore, we do have a NO ALCOHOL policy.

PLEASE NOTE: Be sure to read the "RV Details" on the site information page as the road to the camping area may limit the type or size of RV due to a couple dips, a sharper curve, and it's steeper slope.

The campsites at The Double J are very spacious and are each able to accommodate up to 8 people, and more than one tent or RV. Reserving adjacent sites, or all of the sites, makes for the ideal setting for a large family or group camp-out. We do however, reserve the right to limit number of campers per site based on overall parties/campers in the camping area to prevent overcrowding.

Camping at The Double J provides for a lot of water fun! Bring your own canoe, kayak or tubes and enjoy a peaceful float down the Zumbro from the Covered Bridge in Zumbrota or just stay cool swimming, or playing in the water. We have a great 5'-6' swimming hole right below the rapids!

We've enjoyed having the Southwest High School senior boys come down to camp each year before school starts. They are definitely adventurous and have a great time together!

We thank the staff and parents from Southwest Christian High School who came down several years ago and helped clear the brush from our first campsite along the river so they could do a camping trip there with their senior boys. They've come down to camp every year since. They've even come down a couple times in the late fall with some kids to help clear more brush and split/stack wood as part of a service project to make room for additional camping. They even braved camping through some snow!
