Green Acres Fishing Lodge and Cabin Rentals Green Acres Fishing Lodge is a family owned cabin rental business and a Bed & Breakfast located on T We are now offering four different types of accommodations.

Green Acres is a family owned business operated by Wayne and Lisa Green. Our Fishing Lodge offers lodging for couples, families, and small groups (bass clubs, family reunions, weekend get a ways, golfers, boaters, bird watchers, etc). The "Bird's Nest" is a two bedroom, one bath, 900 sq ft cabin, great for two couples or a small family. The Bed and Breakfast (which caters to couples) is in the mai

n house/lodge with a King Sized Bed and priviate entrance. The "Rooster's Roost" which is a large two bedroom open concept facility (private-no sharing with people you don't know, this is for one group/family/club). The Rooster's Roost includes 4 Queen and 4 Twin Beds. Our newest cabin is the "Tiger's Den" Cabin which is a one room cabin which is set up for just one or two guests.

We are a very small operation where you and your family or a group of friends might be the only ones on this sixteen acre waterfront property during your entire stay. Our goal is to offer you clean, safe, secure (gated property), and comfortable accommodations so you can enjoy your time here on the lake. Additionally, our goal is to have you come back and stay with us again. Hopefully you will find everything you need on this site, if not; we are here to answer any of your questions. We always enjoy having returning guests and friends, Cecil and Barb (couple on the right), visit with us from Robert's Cove, LA. Cecil and Barb have been coming here for years and we have developed a great relationship with them. Cecil invited me to join him on a guided fishing trip with Captain Alex of Martin's Guide Service. We had to hit a lot of spots but we ended up with a two man limit of 50 Sac-a-Lait or Crappie. We also were able to go out to dinner with them one night and had them over to the house where Lisa made us all a great meal after fishing all morning. Always great to see you both.

We recently had first time guests, Danny and Benny, retired Firefighters from the Lafayette and Alexandria, LA areas visit with us here at Green Acres Fishing Lodge. It was a quick trip for the guys who came in to catch some Toledo Bend White Perch. The guys fished with a friend and caught 68 Crappie (close to their 3 man limit) before the rain chased them off of the water. The guys said they had a great time and planned on coming back to stay with us again in the near future.

We've had a pretty dry Winter this year on Toledo Bend; however, it has been a little wet the last couple of weeks. That means, we have "fungus among us" i.e. the mushrooms are starting to pop up every where. Here are a few here at Green Acres Fishing Lodge.

White Perch fishing on Toledo Bend is hot right now! Returning guests, Keith from Shreveport, LA along with Newton and Keith from the Baton Rouge area came in this year for another fishing trip. The guys fished two days with Captain Gerald of Mitchell's Guide Service catching their limit of 75 Crappie on both days. The guys said the fishing was hot and cold at times but Captain Gerald kept on the fish until they loaded up their cooler. I enjoyed visiting with the guys and look forward to seeing them again.

Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend started off windy and we had thunderstorms for about half of the day; however, the rest of the weekend was very pleasant and beautiful on the lake. We had a couple and returning guests visit with us from Denham Springs, LA. Jack and Beverly came to Toledo Bend to celebrate their Anniversary and to get in a guided Crappie fishing trip. Jack said you know you married the right person when you ask what they wanted to do for their Anniversary and she suggest a fishing trip. Unfortunately, a thunderstorm hit the lake that morning and they had to cut their trip short. The couple fished with Captain Brother of Martin's Guide Service catching 20 Crappie (which wasn't bad for a couple of hours). Anyway, they said they are looking forward to the next trip to Toledo Bend and Green Acres Fishing Lodge. Again, Happy Anniversary.

We had a great group of guys visit with us from Southern Louisiana including Lake Charles, Sulphur, and Lafayette. Carl set up a trip for (left to right) his son-in-law Stephen, his son Blaine, Carl, and his son-in-law Chris. The guys did a little Bass fishing around the cove and they also took a guided Sac-a-Lait fishing trip with Captain Brian of Martin's Guide Service. We had some windy conditions but Captain Brian kept them on fish and they managed to catch 70 Toledo Bend Crappie. The guys had a great time and we hope that they come back to see us again soon.

Visiting Toledo Bend to fish the Big Bass Splash were first time guests to Green Acres Fishing Lodge, James and Jill, from Jonesboro, AR. The couple really enjoy fishing and fish four Big Bass Splash tournaments during the year. They did catch some Bass while they were here this year; unfortunately, they didn't find the size they were hoping to catch. However, they said they had a great time and enjoyed their trip. Looking forward to visiting with them again.

This weekend we had a returning family visit us from the Lafayette, LA area including L/R Papa John, his daughter, Tracy from Houston, granddaughter Ashley, grandson Wes, his son Tyler, and Tyler's wife Amber. The family have been staying with us for years and we enjoy visiting with them every time they come out. This year we didn't get to spend as much time with them, they took two guided fishing trips with Captain Gerald of Mitchell's Guide Service, catching 100 Crappie and 5 Catfish on the first trip and 92 Crappie on the second day. The family also enjoyed fishing from the boathouse, going off of the trapeze, and some of them took out our canoes to enjoy the cove. They have already made their reservations for next years fishing trip. See you then.
