🍰 Happy National Dessert Day from Casa de Vista! 🌺

Here’s your official reminder: you’re on vacation. Calories don’t count on island time, and dessert is basically a required activity. 😉

St. Croix has SO many sweet treats to try:
🥥 Coconut tarts and sugar cakes, a true Crucian classic
🍍 Guava and pineapple tarts from a local bakery
🍦 Island-flavored ice cream like soursop, passion fruit, and coconut
🥃 A slice of rum cake

What’s YOUR must-have island dessert? Tell us in the comments! 👇

Well ... we took the "acts of kindness" ... threw them into the hat ... and here is our WINNER!!

Congratulations!!

Did you know? 🏀🌴

The first face you see when you leave the airport on St. Croix belongs to one of the greatest basketball players of all time, and he's a hometown kid.

Tim Duncan was born and raised right here in Christiansted. But basketball wasn't the plan. Young Tim was a competitive swimmer with Olympic dreams, until Hurricane Hugo destroyed the island's only Olympic-size pool in 1989. So he picked up a basketball instead.

The rest is history:
🏆 5x NBA Champion
⭐ 15x NBA All-Star
🥇 3x Finals MVP and 2x League MVP
🎓 Basketball Hall of Fame, Class of 2020

🐢🍺 TRIVIA TUESDAY ALERT 🍺🐢

Tank has his thinking cap on, his pencil sharpened, and his one-man team registered. The question is ... do you have your table?

The best trivia on island happens every Tuesday night at Leatherback Brewing with the one and only Shawn. Good b**r, great people, and questions that will have you saying "I KNEW that!" about three seconds too late.

📅 Tuesdays
⏰ 6:00 PM
📍 Leatherback Brewing Co., St. Croix
📞 Call 340-772-2337 to reserve your table

Do not wait on this one. Trivia night is always a hot ticket, and tables go fast. Grab your smartest friends (or at least your funniest ones), pick a team name you'll regret by round three, and we'll see you at the bar.
