Left STX Wednesday afternoon, got back to Laguna around 1:30 this morning local time. It’s great to be back home with Kathleen, just hanging and walking our dog Bea. Until next time.

I leave Wednesday, it’s kind of hard being here by myself. It’s twilight, and it’s quiet. I hear the six inch surf lapping up on the beach and occasionally the breeze rustling the palm fronds. I’m sitting out here on the gallery, and I realize, this is why I deal with having a home in the Caribbean, even though we live in a beautiful place in California. The difference is, our home town gets very crowded, especially during the summer and on weekends.

My trip is coming to a close. I haven’t been on island since early November of 2019.
Many of you know, my daughter was here with me the first week. That was mostly fun time.
The following 2 weeks have been different. Lots of maintenance that nobody sees or thinks about.
We have replaced a few items to make MBH more comfortable for our guests. New barbecue grill, 4 new chaise lounges, new cushions and covers for the sectional on the gallery, all new pillows and linens for the beds, new towels, including beach towels and some new beach chairs.
We really try to provide for our guests. If you’ve stayed with us but not given us a review on Facebook, please do.

I’ve been spending time with my daughter here on St. Croix this past week. When she was young every year we did a father, daughter trip. So glad she still likes hanging with the old man. TS Grace passed us to the south today. Got some rain, but no wind. We really needed the rain. However Kate’s flight in the morning was canceled. Hopefully she’ll get out on the afternoon flight.
