"Today was a Difficult Day," said Pooh.

There was a pause.

"Do you want to talk about it?" asked Piglet.

"No," said Pooh after a bit. "No, I don't think I do."

"That's okay," said Piglet, and he came and sat beside his friend.

"What are you doing?" asked Pooh.

"Nothing, really," said Piglet. "Only, I know what Difficult Days are like. I quite often don't feel like talking about it on my Difficult Days either."

"But goodness," continued Piglet, "Difficult Days are so much easier when you know you've got someone there for you. And I'll always be here for you, Pooh."

And as Pooh sat there, working through in his head his Difficult Day, while the solid, reliable Piglet sat next to him quietly, swinging his little legs...he thought that his best friend had never been more right."

Well I’m sorry to let everyone know Casa Del Oro suffered significant damage from Maria a few months ago. The Apts & cabin are unusable at this point. It has been a pleasure meeting all those that have come to visit. You showed up as guests and left as members of the family. We will always be grateful for having crossed paths with you all. Please stay in touch... you never know where we may end up.

Although we had some limbs down and debris to clean up, Casa is up and running. Our island was spared Irma's wrath and we are in full gear helping with relief efforts for our sister islands. Thank you for all your well wishes. Hope to see you soon!

Casa Del Oro faired well in the wake of hurricane Irma. A few limbs down and debris. But buildings are in tact and everyone here is safe. It'll take a bit of time to polish this place back up for guests and undo all the storm prep but that's nothing compared to what others throughout the Caribbean are having to face. We were lucky. While we are thankful for being spared Irma's anger our sister islands have not been as lucky. Please keep those folks in your thoughts and prayers.
