My Home Away From Home

I started purchasing condos in 2008 and now we have 3 and the rates are as affordable as I can make them and still pay the bills. My goal was to establish an affordable place for the, not so wealthy types, to go and enjoy what the wealthy can afford. I worked hard in the real estate industry for years and travelled around the world and found the island of St Croix and it felt like home so my decision was made. These condos were built in the 1980’s and have survived two major hurricanes, Hugo in the late 80’s and Maria September 2017. They are well built and have a full staff to take care of the property to whom I am very grateful. The kitchen is well equipped and they provide the first set of towels and sheets, if you need clean ones you can use the onsite laundry facility for a fee. There are full baths in all units. Wifi is available everywhere on the property. Flat screen TV’s (when cable is restored from recent hurricane) The front desk has towels that can be checked out, as well as, tennis equipment, pickle ball, and snorkeling gear. The beach is cleaned every morning so you always have a great view from any of the 54 condos. There is a top reated restuarant on the property for lunch and dinner. Also a bar for you favorite beverages, however, it does close with the restaurant so the guests can have plenty of peace and quiet. Beach chairs are provided on the beach and on the patio by the swimming pool and hot tub. The expenses involved in having a condo are as follows, purchase price, insurance, monthly condo fee, electricity, which is very expensive on the island, water, cable TV and internet, and maintenance on furnishings, the appliances, and air conditioners. There is a minimum that has to be charged for these things as well as rental fees that have to be paid for bookings. Please keep these things in mind when you are renting someone’s property. This is NOT a money maker, however it allows me to keep the property and let it pay for itself so when we want to go on vacation we have a magnificent place to go.
