Amazing what a little bit of rain will bring to the islands! Everything is so lush and green and our flamboyant tree has finally bloomed! It is officially the start of summer.

We actually have the best view of the marina from our parking lot. Ten years ago, it was a shame to see that the view was covered by overgrown plants and weeds. With the changes we made, we find that many of our guests will end up spending a few minutes after they've parked their rental cars taking pictures before they come to check in!

It’s hard to believe that we are coming up on our ten year anniversary in St. Thomas this September. Looking back, it has been a crazy journey full of hope (or, naivety?), moments of pain, chaos, fulfillment and pure joy. We’ll be sharing some “before and after photos” in the coming months to show you our journey from the last ten years.

Here, you see our front porch that welcomes all of our guests to Two Sandals. To get to this point we tore out the wooden deck, poured concrete and installed new tile. We installed new windows, a glass door, and built out thicker columns to give it an updated look. The wooden ceiling adds coziness and the LED lights brighten up the mood at night. Add some fresh paint, a pair of adirondack chairs, a porch swing (hand-built by our in-house carpenter, June) and we finally created an inviting space where people can read a book or enjoy a cold beer. It warms our hearts to see our guests hanging out on our front porch and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. It’s also our favorite spot to sneak in a cup of coffee while our guests are enjoying breakfast on the balcony!
