Apply for a Marriage License

Couples must apply for a U.S. Virgin Islands marriage license through the Superior Court. The process can be completed online before arriving on island.

Provide Identification

A valid photo ID (passport or driver’s license) is required. If previously married, divorce decrees may also be needed.

Allow Processing Time
Marriage licenses are typically issued within about 8 days after submission.

Have an Officiant Perform the ceremony

Your ceremony can be performed by a judge, clergy member, or licensed officiant right here in St. Thomas.
