Timing has been lucky for me here this past year. Hopefully all of us have had some sort of luck, hope, beauty, someone to love, or at least something positive that brings us a little joy.

This afternoon I was leaving Fish Bay and didn’t have to stop and think, but I just did.
I see the sun disappear behind the horizon every day.
The earth keeps turning whether we notice it or not.
Distance has always existed between light and where it lands.

Yet somehow, everything still evolves and grows, not just revolves.
Which is why it’s called a system. Everything functioning together.
At a distance.

If the sun were just a star with no planets or mass, it would still be a star.
But why?
It takes a system, even through distance, to create the chance to experience thought, happiness, beauty, reality as we know it, hope, and future.

The sun sits at the center of our lives.
It gives warmth.
Direction.
Time.
Romance.
First kisses in hammocks.
Moments forged out of light and dark.
An internal clock that keeps ticking and somehow gives us hope for what comes next.

A gravitational pull that keeps everything aligned.
Attached.
Safe inside its radiance.

It darkens the past.
Lights the present.
Ignites the future.

There are periods of inevitable light and dark every day, but it’s all about perspective.

And as I was recording this, the sun slipped away like a black dress hitting the floor.
Quiet.
Elegant.
Peaceful.
Unknowingly flaunting an almost arrogant glow, projecting more meaning and beauty than words can describe.
It was like the world changing outfits right in front of me.

From Hong Kong to New York.
From Georgia to St. John.
The skies are priceless.
But day or night, wherever you stand, you still have a view.

Even when the sun disappears, the memories don’t.
The moon lights up what the day could not.
Night only brings the stars you couldn’t see.
Like an endless future and past unfolding in small pieces of light.

We dance around something unfathomably majestic and call it ordinary.
We give nothing back and still trust it completely.
Not hoping it will be there tomorrow.
Knowing it will.
As it always has from the very start.

I thought I stopped to film something beautiful.
But I didn’t stop for this moment.
I didn’t stop for a one-time event.
I didn’t record this to align with anything except my own thoughts.

I stopped for what the sky reminded me of:

Two things separated by miles.
Still pulling on each other.
Still warming each other without touching.
Proving that connection doesn’t require exact proximity.
It requires an unbreakable, limitless bond.

In that moment, the earth and the sun felt like a long-distance relationship.
One not wanting to leave.
One waiting.
Both knowing they’ll meet again.
Soon, but not immediately.

Only later did I realize the video wasn’t about the horizon, the colors, the wow factor, or the moment at all.
It was about a quiet truth.
That sometimes we capture beauty because we’re thinking about something even more beautiful.

We don’t pause for sunsets.
We pause for what they wake up inside us.
We pause because of hope, wishes, time spent, and something that makes us feel happy.

Some moments look like nature.
But they’re really about love.
About memories.
About the invisible gravity that keeps two hearts in orbit, perfectly timed, knowingly aligned, even when they’re far apart.

Day or night.
Light or dark.
Nothing out there has nothing on you.

My world. Our world. Future.

4br/4.5ba Villa Coral Sky is now available Feb 8–17.

If you’re currently scraping ice off your windshield or questioning why you still live somewhere that hurts your face when you go outside… well… Here’s your sign.

Villa Coral Sky is now open Feb 8–17.

https://www.vrbo.com/3798922

Sunny days, warm water, coffee with an ocean view, and zero snow shovels involved. Hah

These dates just opened up, and it’s a great stretch of winter to disappear to St. John and reset. Private villa, great views, and the kind of weather that makes you forget what a jacket is.

And if your brain freeze made you miss the details above here they are again if you want to trade cold for coral and sky: https://www.vrbo.com/3798922

Feel free to contact us on here, through our website, email, or by phone/text ( Google it). me with questions. Happy to help, even if you just want to complain and vent about winter.

St. John decided to show off as it always does.
The sunset stretched across the whole sky like the heavens were burning the sins off Epstein Island. Colors exploding for no reason other than to make sure anyone up north with a frozen nose felt personally attacked. Gold pouring into pink, pink into deep orange, orange fading into a huge silvery full moon basically saying, hey bruh… it’s like 6 - 7pm and my time to shine. ( yes I’m 38 and dropped a 6 7 🤹‍♂️reference )

Meanwhile back on some northern latitude above Cuba, everyone in the cold is out there warming up their cars, rubbing their hands together like they’re primitively trying to start a fire, breathing out frozen smoke signals while silently lying to themselves thinking “it’s the holidays” and pretending winter is “cute.” You can keep that. If I have to scrape ice off my windshield with a rock (or whatever you people use), you’re probably not reading this because that sunset peaced out and forfeited to the moon.

Down here today?
I was just out here using my elite Avengers flip flop skills, an iPhone 16 Pro Max, and drinking a house-made Painkiller from Shambles- St John USVI after greeting a wonderful group of guests staying at a villa while scrambling to take a picture before the sky changed. Warm breeze, calm water, the whole island glowing like it knows it’s undefeated every single month of the year. Spring, summer, fall, winter… St. John doesn’t care. It stays winning. Debate me if you think im wrong and you can even use Virgin Islands Water & Power Authority against me if you want… St. John will still win.

But as the day goes on, the light softens, the bragging fades, reality sneaks in, and that’s when this place hits different. That quiet moment, day or night.
When the laughs settle, the pictures get posted, the morning’s adventure waits, and then that little anxiety about rejoining the rest of the world hits as you’re boarding a flight. Life snaps back to normal. Same grind. Same routine. Same stuff… but there’s something underneath it you don’t realize yet. Later that night, when you’re exhausted and your phone’s finally down, your mind drifts back. A flash of a moment. A smile. A bit of peace. A memory that means more than any photo. Sometimes even a tear.

You start thinking about hammocks, dinners, handshakes, hugs, warmth, quiet, and the moments that were real, moments that actually meant something.
You think about the people in your life. Your mom. Your Family. Your kid. Your partner. Your girlfriend. Your friends. Loved ones who are no longer around. The people you’d want standing there with you.
The people who make the whole scene matter.

Because for all the ridiculous beauty this island throws around, ain’t nothin’ got nothin’ on them. Nothing even comes close.

The days and nights, the time, you spend with your people, those are the moments that stick. The ones you replay in your mind years later. The ones that end up meaning more than the picture. The ones you don’t get back, so you make them count.

The sky will keep putting on a show.
The moon will keep rising on time.
St. John will keep shining like it always does. But the time you share with the people you love… that’s the part that matters more than the weather, more than the view, more than all of the world’s beauty combined.

Those are the moments that matter.
Not where they happen, but how they happen, if they happen, and choosing to make them happen.

And whenever you need us, or need a reminder of what life feels like when you slow down long enough to enjoy it…

you call out our name
and you know wherever we are
we’ll come running
winter spring summer or fall
all you have to do is call
and we’ll be there.

And to those who already know… we will see you again.
You’ve got a St. John friend.
(And yeah mom I managed to fit James Taylor lyrics into a company facebook post, mic drop)

We’re here to help create more than just unforgettable vacations that pictures could never fully capture, but to make those real, remarkable memories that can only be experienced and felt… not shown in a Facebook post.

Virgin Islands Water & Power Authority hey guys, I think I have a minor issue..there seems to be no power? I tried calling, emailing, text messaging, keeping updated ( or downdated/ghosted)and even paying over 6 figures a month early and in advance payments! I actually have a credit with you, a pretty large one ( several months )… I was wondering if I could use this “credit” to trade it for Caribbean Solar Company or another company like ProSolar. Thank for listening and look forward to the self proclaimed and self righteous name of “The Authority” being creditable! Thanks, we cool 6 7.

☀️⛄️💦🍆🍆🥳🥰 Today’s Weather Report from St. John:
Blue skies. Unreal views. And 100% chance of you rethinking your entire life. 🌴

Here at South Shore Villa, the infinity pool said, “Good morning, you deserve better.”
Over at Sapphire Sunrise, the ocean basically put on a runway show. Sparkled. Twirled. Left us all emotionally unprepared.

We tried to get work done today — we really did. But the view staged a full-blown coup and now we’re just lying in a lounge chair questioning why people live anywhere else.

If you’re currently buried in emails, traffic, or seasonal depression — please know we’re suffering too. Suffering from too much beauty, too much peace, and possibly too many beach snacks.

Anyway, just wanted to remind you that this isn’t AI or a postcard. This is real life, and it’s happening right now. Here. On this ridiculous little island. And we get to manage villas with views like this for a living. (Yes, it’s unfair. No, we’re not sorry.)

Sending love and sunscreen from paradise.
