It’s been quite rainy the past week, but St. John always provides beauty. In 20 years we’ve never been at La Jolla Caribe the few days the Wattapama bloom. What a treat!

Good morning from La Jolla Caribe! Our weather station went off line at about 10pm last night at which point we had 4.42 inches of rain and wind gusts of 51.5mph. Probably blew off. Still dark and stormy this morning, with a lot of runoff into Cinnamon Bay especially on the left side. Surprisingly there is a boat on the water behind Whistling Cay. Wishing everyone well on island as the storm moves out today!

The northwest camera from La Jolla Caribe caught the SpaceX launch tonight and it is incredible to see. Just go to our La Jolla Caribe youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzZx4cE6-WM at watch from 7:11pm to about 7:15pm. So great to even see the separation. St. John has the best views and you never know what you will enjoy!

Happy to see the sun back on STJ. Cinnamon is as stirred up as we’ve seen it but it will clear soon after the swells pass. Today is a great day for taking photos of the waves and if you are lucky enough be there this evening Prime Rib Night at Rain Tree Cafe is fabulous! Here’s a video from this morning.

Well, finally the cisterns are full for the first time since the rebuild. This is a screenshot of our Tempest weather station. That’s a lot of rain since Sunday! Curious if anyone else has a rain gauge on STJ and what their readings are.
Meanwhile, back to our regularly scheduled weather with the Cinnamon Bay water clearing nicely!

Very hazy on island today! If you ever were curious where Johnson’s Reef is it is where the small white sailboat has sadly run aground just past Peter Bay. Hopefully they will get help soon!
