The Ancient Vilage of Ma Le is located in Dong Van district, Ha Giang province. 13 km drive from Dong Van town, Ma Le sits on the way to The National Monument Flagpole of Lung Cu. The village is surrounded by limestone peaks formed over millions of years. The ‘Ancient Vilage’ is an interesting and unmissable destination, perfect for seeing traditional way of life, as it has remained unchanged for

hundreds of years. There are 97 houses in the village, which is majority Giay people. They make a living by farming terraced fields, breeding livestock and embroidery. The homestay in is an original 200 year old building, with views of the mountains. Guests share traditional meals with the village people, and the friendly staff speak english. There are 5 rooms, each with 2 double futon mattresses. You can go for walks through fields and rice paddies, past streams into the mountains, which incredible views. Or relax in the homestay and watch village life go by.
