🚨 IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR HA GIANG LOOP TRAVELERS
If you're planning to explore the Ha Giang Loop this month, please be aware of a new regulation that may affect your journey.
Starting June 1, 2026, foreign visitors entering designated border areas in Ha Giang may be required to obtain a Border Area Entry Permit and pay an additional fee of approximately USD 10 per person.
Affected areas may include:
• Quan Ba
• Yen Minh
• D**g Van
• Lo Lo Village
• Du Gia
• Vi Xuyen
• Minh Tan
• Other designated border regions
⚠️ Please note that this requirement may apply even if you are only passing through these areas and not staying overnight.
Authorities have also reportedly increased inspections at border checkpoints and along popular travel routes. Visitors may be asked to present:
✅ A valid passport or identification
✅ Accommodation registration documents
✅ A Border Area Entry Permit (where applicable)
Failure to provide the necessary documents could result in delays, fines, or travel disruptions.
💡 If you are joining a Ha Giang Loop tour, we strongly recommend checking with your tour operator in advance to confirm whether the permit is included and whether any additional paperwork is required.
