The Tan Vu - Lach Huyen Bridge is 5.4-km long in the east of Hai Phong, a northern province of Vietnam. The brige is connecting the Hai Han district to the new port of Lach Huyen, on the island district of Cat Hai, next to the famous Cat Ba island. This allows the port of Lach Huyen to be directly connected to the Hai Phong/Hanoi highway, drastically reducing the transit time to Vietnam's capital city.

The speedboat Beiyou 16 of Tan Uc Group (China) that brought 22 crew members participating in the testing service of the new route Beihai (Guangxi, China) – Halong (Quang Ninh, Vietnam). This is the first test in order to improve the conditions necessary to bring Chinese tourists to visit Halong and Vietnamese tourists to visit the Beihai. After the test successful, the two parties will exploit the route 2 times / week, at an average of 800passengers/trip.

This is the second time I came to Vietnam and my first time to visit Halong Bay. Your Halong Bay is really great. It deserves to be the place that people should visit at least once in his life! AS a photographer in Southeast Asia, I’ve been to Ha Long Bay, in northern Vietnam, many times for work and on vacation, hosting visiting friends. After accepting an assignment to shoot the bay for the Travel section’s annual Where to Go issue, I decided to approach the trip simply as a tourist, going on the same tour as everyone else. Rather than work from a distance, looking for the best overall shots of the bay itself, I shot everything from a tourist’s perspective.
