STUFFED STICKY RICE BALLS

On 3rd of March in Lunar Calendar, People in East Asia make the traditional food called stuffed sticky rice ball. They are made for Cold Food Festival – The traditional Festival of some East Asia countries. Each countries has Its own legend of this Festival. For example, in China, the Cold Food Festival is for commemorating a General who had sacrificed himself for saving his king’s life. But in Viet nam, It’s a totally different tales…….
In Vietnam, 3rd of March is one of 24 important days for Vietnamese farmer from the beginning of longstanding rice-growing culture of Vietnam. On that day, the seeds which they grew are beginning to sprout. And so, the People make cold food like stuffed sticky rice balls for worshipping the God of Agriculture for a heavy crop. Besides, the stuffed sticky rice balls ‘re made for Vietnamese showing worship to their Ancestor, hoping them to protect their Family.
