Có những ngày, ta không thật sự định đi đâu.
Chỉ là rẽ qua một con phố quen, ngang qua một hàng cây đang đổ bóng, đi chậm lại trước một mái hiên cũ, rồi bất chợt thấy lòng mình dịu xuống.
Hà Nội đẹp không chỉ ở những nơi người ta gọi tên thật rõ: Hồ Gươm, Hồ Tây, phố cổ, những mùa hoa. Hà Nội còn đẹp ở những khoảnh khắc rất khẽ — tiếng xe đạp lướt qua buổi sớm, mùi cà phê thoảng ra từ một căn nhà nhỏ, ánh nắng nghiêng trên bức tường vàng đã cũ, hay một người đứng nép dưới hiên chờ cơn mưa đi qua.
Cái đẹp của Hà Nội đôi khi không nằm ở việc ta dừng lại thật lâu.
Mà nằm ở một giây rất ngắn khi ta đi ngang qua, kịp nhìn thấy, kịp nhớ, kịp thấy mình có chút gì thuộc về nơi này.
Có lẽ vì thế mà Hà Nội luôn khiến người ta muốn quay lại.
Không phải để tìm một điểm đến mới.
Mà để được đi qua thêm một lần nữa, trong một buổi chiều nào đó, và nhận ra thành phố này vẫn đang dịu dàng theo cách rất riêng.

Hanoi is not only beautiful in its destinations, but also in the moments we pass through.
There are days when we do not really plan to go anywhere.
We simply turn into a familiar street, pass beneath a row of trees casting soft shadows, slow down before an old awning, and suddenly feel something within us become quieter.
Hanoi is beautiful not only in the places people can easily name: Hoan Kiem Lake, West Lake, the Old Quarter, the seasons of flowers. Hanoi is also beautiful in the quietest moments — the sound of a bicycle passing in the early morning, the scent of coffee drifting from a small house, sunlight leaning across an old yellow wall, or someone standing under a porch, waiting for the rain to pass.
Sometimes, the beauty of Hanoi is not found in staying for a long time.
It lives in one brief second as we pass by — just enough to see, to remember, and to feel that a small part of us belongs here.
Perhaps that is why Hanoi always makes people want to return.
Not to find a new destination.
But to pass through once more, on some quiet afternoon, and realize that this city is still gentle in its own very particular way.
