Hai Van Pass is like a giant dragon and which is considered to be one of the largest frontier posts in Vietnam. The name De Nhat Hung Quan, meaning the most colossal frontier post, is engraved on an incense burner in Thai Temple.

In the past, Hai Van Pass was known as the Thuan Hoa and Quang Nam frontier. In the early 14th century (1306), Che Man, a king from Cham Pa, offered two mountainous administrative units of O and Ri as engagement gifts to Princess Huyen Tran, daughter of King Tran Nhan Tong. On his way to see off the Princess in the Quang area in a summer sunny noon, the King and his entourage were on horse back for almost half a day but could not reach the top of the pass. Facing upwards, the King saw a rampart of mountains in dim clouds, and at the foot of the pass, an immense ocean, of waves. Though sorry for his daughter's difficult journey, the king was comforted by the closer ties between the two nations.

Whenever one goes through Hai Van Pass, two feelings are experienced: amazement at passing through the clouds and fear when seeing the dangerous bends of the road. A 21km-long road over Hai Van Pass, opened at the end of the 19th century, winds back and forth to a height of 435m above sea level. With sudden curves and blind corners, Hai Van Pass is likened to an arrogant but beautiful girl challenging drivers' skills. Its name means "Pass of the Ocean Clouds," since the peak of the mountain is in the clouds while its foot is close to the sea.

From the top of Hai Van Pass, one can admire Lang Co Beach to the north and Da Nang to the south. The curving railway through Hai Van Pass is 3,200m long including sections running through seven tunnels. There are endless forests to the west of Hai Van Pass and the ocean is to the east. Hai Van Pass is a real challenge for drivers, as well as for adventurers.

Da Lat Cathedral is located on Tran Phu Road, near the Da Lat Novotel Hotel, Da Lat City, Lam D**g Province.

The cathedral looks like a European cathedral from the Middle Ages with its many stained glass windows and 47m tower.

The cathedral was built between 1931 and 1942. This cathedral was used by the French and other Europeans who used to live in Da Lat or to spend holiday there.

Masses are held from Monday to Saturday at 5.30am and 5.15pm, and Sunday at 5.30am, 7am, and 4pm.

Nguyen Hue Street is the most modern walking street in Viet Nam.

(TITC) - Under French domination period, Nguyen Hue Street was Cho Vai Canal from the bank of Sai Gon River (Bach Dang Wharf now) to Xa Tay Palace (People’s Committee Building of Ho Chi Minh City now). Cho Vai Canal was the inner-city waterway for merchant ships and military vessels. Along the two banks of the canal are two streets named Charner and Rigault. In 1887, French Colonial had the canal filled and the two streets merged into Charner Boulevard. The top of Charner Boulevard (in the front of People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City now) was the location, French navel band often performed on the solemn holidays. In 1956, Charner Boulevard was renamed Nguyen Hue Boulevard and became the most beautiful street in Sai Gon at that time.

Currently, Nguyen Hue Street becomes the walking street including 2 areas with 670m in total length and 60m in width. The area of President Ho Chi Minh Statue Park (from Le Thanh Ton Street to Le Loi Street) is set Uncle Ho’s copper alloy statue with the height of 7.2m, facing to Sai Gon River. Behind Uncle Ho’s Statue, there is a stele inscribing the presentation of Southern Interim Administrative Committee before the city’s people after the success of August Revolution in 1945. The park also has the lotus pond, two lines of white fragipanes and a lot of colorful flowers and trees. The area of Nguyen Hue Square (from Le Loi Street to Ton Duc Thang Street) includes a walking street paved granite in the middle and two lanes for vehicles in the two sides. They are parted by tree lines and flower beds. Misting system is arranged in the tree lines to cool the air, prevent dust and create humidify for trees. The square is also installed modern art lighting and water music systems, the two basements with public toilets and the monitoring and controlling centre of cameras, lighting, water music…

Nguyen Hue Walking Street is the place to organize parades, meetings, street and flower festivals, exhibitions, culture and sports activities, art performances… of Ho Chi Minh City. The street provides free Wi-Fi 24/24 to serve visitors with the speed of 1Gb/second, ensuring many people can access the internet at the same time.

This is a rare work which faces north and along with Hoa Binh Gate (North gate of Imperial Citadel) to create a unique architectural complex that expresses aspiration for peace of Nguyen Dynasty.

(TITC) - In 1923, King Khai Dinh (1916 – 1925) had Tu Phuong Vo Su Pavilion built to prepare for 40th anniversary of his birthday. Constructed on the foundation of Tu Thong Communal House - sentry box to protect Imperial Citadel in reign of King Gia Long (1802 to 1820), Tu Phuong Vo Su Pavilion was the place for kings and royal members to contemplate landscape and also for princes and princesses to study. Over time, affected by weather and war, Tu Phuong Vo Su Pavilion were damaged heavily. In 2010, the pavilion was restored in accordance with the ancient original.

Tu Phuong Vo Su Pavilion is located on the “theological axis” in northwest - southeast direction of Imperial Citadel, connecting with most important works such as Kien Trung Palace, Khon Thai Palace, Can Thanh Palace, Thai Hoa Palace and Ngo Mon Gate. It covers an area of 182m² and consists of two floors built of brick and cement. Each side of the two floors has two windows and one door. The lobby has a lot of lights according to Western style. Meanwhile, roofs and decorative patterns are imbued Oriental architecture with sun in the middle, two dragons in two sides. To east and west sides of the pavilion lie flower gardens with parterres covered tortoise shapes. Notably, the row of ancient adenium trees planted to the south of the pavilion looks like thin curtain reflecting down Kim Thuy Lake. Standing on the second floor of the pavilion, visitors will have a panoramic view of architecture works of Imperial Citadel and observe the peaceful life of people of Hue Citadel.
