Rubie Hotel warmly welcomed Captain Jimmy Chew and Mrs. Chew in June 2024. This reunion after 44 long years must have been filled with nostalgia and shared memories. It’s incredible how life’s journey brings people back together, especially when those connections span decades.

My cadetship aboard the Neptune Zircon under Captain Chew as Master and his role as a Lecturer in Navigation during the Master Class 1 at Singapore Polytechnic undoubtedly left a lasting impact. Such experiences shape not only careers but also forge lifelong bonds.

The few days spend with our wonderful couple at Rubie Hotel is equally memorable, offering comfort and relaxation as we reminisce about our past adventures (Spring Chicken....Hahaha).
