A day in Ben Tre through our little ones' eyes 🛶

Nothing beats the excitement of kids getting ready for their first boat trip in the Mekong. Just two hours from Saigon, the busy city is replaced by quiet coconut groves and the cool river breeze.

On September 2, 1945, at Ba Dinh Square, Vietnam declared its independence. It was the beginning of a new era of freedom for the nation.

Every year, this day fills the country with color: red flags with golden stars flying from every home, streets alive with music, and a spirit of celebration shared across generations.

This year is especially historic. In Hanoi, a grand military parade will mark the 80th anniversary — thousands of soldiers marching in formation, dazzling flyovers by military aircraft, and performances that showcase the nation’s unity and strength.

🚲 A Guest’s Journey through the Mekong Delta – “It Felt Real”

"We weren’t just watching life in the Mekong Delta — we were part of it."

That’s how Emma, one of our guests from the UK, described her experience after spending a full day exploring the quiet corners of Ben Tre with us.

Her day started early with a scenic drive out of Ho Chi Minh City. “Within two hours, the concrete gave way to coconut trees, and everything just… slowed down,” she said.

What followed was a beautifully paced day:
