“You get an a absolute river front house with awesome views. The house is huge. We are a family of 6. Lovely brickwork interior with good bathrooms. We stayed for 8 days and loved it. 2 bikes were provided. It's a very easy cycle to the old town (7 mins) which we did during the day. At night we preferred to get a grab taxi which was about 30k d**g but be aware it might take a while to get one at peak times due to the low fare. (Most drivers want a longer trip so might cancel the trip). If you had a scooter it would be perfect. Or if you happy to cycle at night it is fine. Rosy the house manager is very helpful and suggested some restaurants and helped organise additional cycles. (50k per day per cycle extra with childseats). Also airport taxi was organised and picked us up from da nang. (6 people total usd$25). Air-conditioning in all the bedrooms but not in the living area but fans are provided and you can open all the doors so it was fine. We made use of washing and drying machines as well for clothes. A couple minor issues were resolved quickly. One note the location shown on the maps is incorrect. That is because Google maps does not have the address of many houses around there. The nearest landmark on Google maps is "Cafe Thu Thiem" which is about 20 meters away on the road (although the cafe is closed down) Overall for what you get the value is excellent particularly for large family groups. The house can easily sleep 10 people. Thanks for the stay.”

“This is one of a kind, magical home that anyone that loves culture and history will appreciate. Cuong & Phung have done a wonderful job building and curating the space, then greet you personally to welcome you and orient you to their rooftop home. The space is very comfortable for two people. Although not in the old quarter, it is a quick cab ride away (and the Old Quarter is very touristy). This is impeded in a quiet neighborhood where you up close how local people live their lives.”

“I had a wonderful stay at Cuong and Phuong's beautiful apartment. The listing isn't kidding: It's a one-of-a-kind experience. If you're at all interested in 19th-century architecture, you shouldn't miss it. Especially if you'd prefer a less touristy experience than you'd get in hotels of the Old Quarter (which is a long-ish walk, but easily accessible by taxi and bike). Cuong and Phuong are excellent, generous hosts. They're available if you need them or have questions, but if you want it you'll have total privacy. Their "Hanoi Master List," which you'll find in the apartment, is chock full of restaurant and sightseeing suggestions. Best of all, there's a whole section dedicated to local restaurants that you might miss out on otherwise. I tried many of them and wasn't disappointed. Thanks for a lovely stay, Cuong and Phuong.”

“Talk about an authentic and unique experience! You really feel like a local staying here, from the surrounding area to the apartment itself. Phuong was also communicative and very accommodating. You would be remiss if you didn't use her Hanoi guide--it was awesome! Highly recommend!”
