In Vietnamese tradition, the full moon of the eighth lunar month is more than a celestial event, it is a mirror of unity, known as Tết Đoàn Viên (The Festival of Reunion).

Centuries ago, after the harvest was gathered, families would pause under the autumn night sky to give thanks, share sweet mooncakes, and watch the full moon rise over the horizon. The perfect roundness of the moon represents complete harmony and the warm gathering of generations.

Tonight at Anantara Hoi An Resort, we honour this timeless ritual along the peaceful banks of the Thu Bon River. Where silver moonlight reflects upon gentle waters and silk lanterns glow through tropical gardens, tradition lingers, in the fragrance of lotus tea, artisanal mooncakes crafted with local botanicals, and the quiet joy of being together.
