We need your help!
We wanted to live our dream and built our Lucky Spot with lots of love on one of the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam — but just a year later, the first setback hit: Covid. After two years of closure, we had to put in a lot of energy and money to renovate so we could reopen. And now, we’re facing another disaster. The typhoon has caused devastating damage — our new seating area was completely destroyed, roofs were torn off, plants uprooted, foundations undermined, and much more.
We are currently in Germany because our son was just born and we couldn’t wait to show him and our daughter our beautiful little paradise. But now we don’t know how to recover from this. Our six employees depend on their jobs and in our small village there are no well-paid opportunities. Everyone benefits from tourism — the taxi driver who built his livelihood thanks to our guests, the many fishermen, vendors, and suppliers… so many lives are connected to it.
We truly need help! We estimate the damage at €20,000–30,000, and we simply don’t have that amount. Maybe some of you can help with a few euros so that Lucky Spot can be rebuilt and no one has to lose their livelihood. We’ll keep you updated on every step of the way on social media and really hope that at least a part of the amount can be raised so we can start rebuilding before even more damage occurs.
