Canadian road tripping with my Mum and son. On the ferry to Wolfe Island at our first stop in Kingston! 🇨🇦
Always seem to be drawn to lakes and countryside when I’m away just like back home in the Lake District! 🌊🍃🌳
This was a bit of a last minute holiday but am enjoying taking in new places and experiences.
Our cottages back home in the Lake Distict are very much open if you’re also planning a little getaway.

I managed to escape just in time, but crossing my fingers and doing a sundance so that the weather brightens up for our cottage guests back home!

Nothing beats a good leg-stretch in the Western Lake District with hubby’s bestie, Duke and also crazy Ziggy! 🐾We love this gorgeous meadow trail just above Gosforth village which we walked earlier this week. There’s simply stunning views stretching all the way to the coast and the fells. Was the perfect short walk in the heat and is just off the doorstep if staying at Mill Cottage! 🖤

Who else has made life-changing decisions after a trip?

🌍✈️When I was in the corporate world in London and running on autopilot, it was way too easy to ignore my inner voice. But stepping away and travelling completely shifted my perspective.
