Isaiah 46:4 says,
“Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you".

Very comforting.

Verse of the Day
Hebrews 11:6
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.

If one reads this entire chapter you can see that each one was rewarded for their faith, yet it says in two places that they did not receive what was promised. Obviously God had something greater for them than the current “seeking” reward!

Eternal Life!

If you look this passage up you will see that by faith all of these people received at least the reward that is being currently mentioned, but I’m sure they prayed other times in their lives that things didn’t turn out quite to expectations. We still know they did eventually receive their promise of everlasting life.

We many many times get distracted by how our desires do not meet up with the reality of our outcomes. We pray and earnestly seek God’s will, we try to make our will match up with that, but yet the result is less than what we expected.

We do receive from our following Gods principles blessings in this life but, God has the real reward waiting for us if we do Not lose our Faith!

While it is our acceptance of Jesus as our savior that saves us, the Faith that it takes to do that is what God is looking for.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—
Ephesians 2:8

Your WORKS and your path forward will “follow” your FAITH.

A pastor asked an older farmer, decked out in bib overalls, to say grace for the morning breakfast.

"Lord, I hate buttermilk", the farmer began. The visiting pastor opened one eye to glance at the farmer and wonder where this was going.

The farmer loudly proclaimed, "Lord, I hate lard." Now the pastor was growing concerned.

Without missing a beat, the farmer continued, "And Lord, you know I don't much care for raw white flour". The pastor once again opened an eye to glance around the room and saw that he wasn't the only one to feel uncomfortable.

Then the farmer added, "But Lord, when you mix them all together and bake them, I do love warm fresh biscuits. So Lord, when things come up that we don't like, when life gets hard, when we don't understand what you're saying to us, help us to just relax and wait until you are done mixing. It will probably be even better than biscuits. Amen."

Within that prayer there is great wisdom for all when it comes to complicated situations like we are experiencing in the world today.

Stay strong, my friends, because our LORD is mixing several things that we don't really care for, but something even better is going to come when HE is done with it. AMEN!
