Constructed by the American owner & his sons, it was built to North American standards and nicely finished. The house has much to offer groups of family or friends. A master bedroom with ensuite, secondary bedroom wit

h queen bed and the third featuring 2 twins, along with a second bathroom, offers an assorted dynamic that will accommodate a varied party of guests. The large, open kitchen/dining/living room allows for a living style that will appeal to most and the quiet location offers privacy and solitude for after hours relaxing. A large deck to the west will attract the sunbather with a book or a group of friends just relaxing with a cold drink. For those of you with children, a large, open loft, with ladder is available for the kids to have their own space to get away from the adults for a bit.

The Bottle Tree House will have new owners after February 28, 2025. Having built this wonderful island alongside my sons in 2007&08 with the addition of interior decorating and landscape design by my wife through the years, our ownership of The Bottle House comes to an end. It was a wonderful dream fostered by our friend Jo Holman, now deceased, and nurtured by friends and family over the course of 17 years. ( This is the longest period of time that I have owned a piece of property.)
Jane and I plan to continue our Belize residency as we continue to develop our property in the foothills of the Mountain Pine Ridge range in western Belize. Aptly called The Waystation, we look forward to offering our friends and family the opportunity to step off the treadmills on which they may find themselves and enjoy the opportunity to re-think and re-charge before continuing their life journeys.

NAME CHANGE COMING: Our beloved Villa Almendra is about to get a new name. Belize Tourism has ruled that we had to register the name as a business in Belize and in doing so we discovered that Villa Almendra had already been registered unless we added a third word. Rather than doing so, I opted for Jane's preferred name. So be it known by all that Villa Almendra is now officially the BOTTLE TREE HOUSE.

December project saw the addition of a 12x24' deck across the front of the house with a door access from living space as well as access from the yard. Although the roof trusses are in place the actual roof will not be built until this Spring at which time the new deck will be screened. This new area will increase our pleasure as owner/tenants as well as being a bonus for our house guests.
