Rideau Valley Conservation Authority Mica Mines Conservation lands. The camp is situated in beautiful Tay Valley, 16km from Perth, 26km from Smiths Falls and within an 1hr drive from Ottawa.

Whispering Pines Scout Camp
Work Day April 18th 9:00 am – 4:00pm
Alternate rain date: April 25th

We will be conducting a camp work day Saturday April 18th 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Lunch is included: hot dogs, chips, snacks and refreshments.
We hope to give the camp a bit of spring clean-up.
• Brush trimming and stacking
• Wood splitting ( both by axe and wood splitter)
• Trail maintenance (fix markers, cut/remove downed trees
• Camp site maintenance: distribute picnic tables, clean/move pits as required, rake debris
• Camp fire amphitheater cleaning and seating maintenance
• KYBOS maintenance
• Additional work items may be undertaken given attendance and timing

If you can bring shovels, rakes, tools, and work boots/gloves etc.

Drop us a message or email us if you want to order some! They're usually available the weekend you are booked in. Unless we forgot to bring back the booth box that have the stickers in them...

Algonquin Adventure 2025 went out of Brent access this year, with 22 youth and 13 Scouters. We had participants hailing from Smiths Falls, Almonte, Carleton Place, Drummond, North Grenville, Kemptville, Carp and Brockville Scouting groups!

Split across 5 groups and 3 difficulty levels, we spent a week enjoying what back country Algonquin has to offer! We will be posting three albums, one for each level!

Level 1 comprised of 8 youth and 5 Scouters, they focused their adventures around Cedar lake, building skills and having an all round fun camp!

Algonquin Adventure 2025 went out of Brent access this year, with 22 youth and 13 Scouters. We had participants hailing from Smiths Falls, Almonte, Carleton Place, Drummond, North Grenville, Kemptville, Carp and Brockville Scouting groups!

Level 2 had two groups totaling 11 youth and 6 Scouters, they went north east up through Laurel to Cauchon Lake and back again.
