All ten chalets accommodate guests in a private & intimate way, overlooking the tranquil river. The lodges are rustic in style, each with en-suite facilities, and their own private verandahs, which allow you to encounter the incredible sights & sounds of the river & wildlife close by. All chalets have fans. The main lodge houses the dining room, lounge & bar area, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the breathtaking views. Relax by the swimming pool, or be taken out by our professional guides for game viewing by boat or vehicle, where you will be up close and personal with hippo, crocodile, elephant, buffalo, eland, impala, waterbuck and even if you are lucky, lion. You can try your hand at fishing for the exciting Tiger or the delicious tasting Bream fish if you prefer, or morning or evening walks, canoe outings or simply a sundowner cruise along the shores of the lake! Clay Pigeon shooting is also a fun activity to try your hand at! Gache Gache lodge is renowned for its incredible variety of birdlife. Vist our very own BIRD ISLAND around roosting time - you will be amazed! We have a Traditional Dance team that comes into Gache Gache for special occassions that you can book. They are very good entertainment! Included in our rate is the accommodation, all meals, teas, laundry, VAT and levies. The lodge is accessible by boat, road and air.
