The Codex is a Park Model Cabin which is

an RV designed to be a cabin. The Codex features available sleeping for 8: a queen bedroom, a futon full sleeper in the living room and a twin trundle bed and two twin foam beds in the loft. There is a full kitchen with a side by side freezer/refrigerator, cooktop, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker and toaster. The living room features a 43" LCD TV with available streaming via the internet and a Jensen multimedia center for radio/DVD/CD entertainment and Bluetooth capability. Free wi-fi is available too. Parker Creek Bend Cabins is located on a peaceful, dead-end road just outside the Army Corps of Engineer's Parker Creek Recreation Area on the southwest side of Lake Greeson, Murfreesboro, Arkansas. On occasion guests ask for restaurant recommendations. I have not visited every possible restuarant near each location of our cabins but I have visited a few. This weekend I and some family members stayed at the Windstorm cabin (Marshall, Arkansas) for a weekend hike. (I give hiking trail recommendations too). While there, we visited this restaurant which features BBQ. I had the BBQ chicken sandwich with cole slaw and baked beans, all of which was quite tasty! The servers were great too! So whether you book a cabin with us or not but are traveling through Marshall, Arkansas. Make it a point to visit the Big Springs Trading Company at 14237 N Highway 65, Saint Joe, AR, United States, 72675. For those who don't know, this is on U.S. Highway 65 which goes north through central Arkansas towards Branson, Missouri. ~ Rich

A good place to eat on the Buffalo National River, located in St. Joe, Arkansas. Serving lunch and dinner in a casual atmosphere with a funky vibe, with locally sourced ingredients.

We are considering an upgrade to the Windstorm cabin to make it more family friendly. The far left side is the original cabin but updated with a log finish. To the right is an addition to provide bedrooms on the main floor and a larger living / entertainment area. Currently the only bedroom is in a loft up a narrow, steep stairway. That room will have bunk beds instead. The current living area will be converted to a bedroom with a queen bed, and the kitchen will gain some space. The addition will have a bedroom with a king size bed and an attached bathroom. The living area will have a dining area for six, a pool table and a large area for TV watching. The new addition will come with a 15' wide by 30' long covered deck with a 6-person hot tub. This is not an exact final finish but is pretty close to what it should look like once completed. The plan is for a deck where it appears to be a patio in this image and the hot tub would go to the far right. The images below it are a couple of different angles on the current cabin.
