Hack and Hike are a group of volunteers who treasure the natural beauty of the Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve. Their aim to help with the conservation of the area, particularly with the eradication of alien invasive tree species (pines, wattles and eucalyptus).

Join the first meet up on Sunday 17 March on the escarpment, between God’s Window and Bourke’s Luck Potholes. The work is entirely voluntary and you work at your own pace. Hiking distance will be about 6 to 8 kms depending on your enthusiasm!

Access has been granted with to a remote and incredibly beautiful part of the reserve that is under severe threat from mostly pine encroachment.
