Good morning from a wet and coldish Colchester, EC.

Though the weather is like I always say, all 4 seasons in one day, it's busy at the lodge.

Tim and I have moved closer to the lodge in a lovely Managers Cottage and he is now busy with some renovations for us for a change lol

BUT... once he is done there, the maintenance continues at Happy Jackal. Our next project is the 2 luxury rooms. Would love to do a wawawoem!

So, we are as usual busy with planning and great things.

Happy Jackal in Addo once again!

This whole week has been an absolute amazing experience. A lot of rain, but the sightings were memorable!

The guests was amazed and totally stunned when this elephant came straight up to the open game viewing vehicles and the rest surrounding us. They could not believe how calm our two nature site guides stayed. Just look at the little ellie who wondered totally on his own playing and on it's own mission lol When arriving back at Happy Jackal, some immediately called their family with the pics,

Now THAT is what one receive from our beautiful lodge. THANK YOU ADDO ELEPHANT NATIONAL PARK!

Addo Elephant National Park ... Here we come!
We have been extremely blessed to be in the park almost daily
Unbelievable how you think its going to be a day off, then suddenly all bookings come in,

Blessed beyond words with incredible sightings.

Unicorn (Rhino), not one, but 5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning all,

Trust you are having a fabulous Saturday morning

Here are some of the pictures of some before and after of the new Zebra suite that Tim was building and renovating.

This was just a large room with the en suite. An empty shell, with loads of little particions etc. Tim stripped the floor, ceilings, walls and you name it to bare naked shell. Did you spot those beautiful old copper pipes that now shines like brand new. Tims little secret!

He then divided this suite to make two separate storerooms for me on the outer side with own entrances, so it does not form part of this room. Now I also have some storage rooms.

Thank you, Tim. It is beautiful. You are indeed very meticulous and only someone with great appreciation of the sweat, time, effort and knowledge that went in here will know.

Another ready to sleep in comfort and beauty with its own little kitchenette, lounge and bathroom.

Oh by the way! He is now also busy renovating Kudu cottage! Another project!
