Valley Bushveld Country Lodge is an owner managed, successful, upmarket four star, safari-style Guest Lodge and bed and breakfast close to Addo Elephant National Park in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. The lodge is nestled just 200 metres off the main R75 en-route to Addo, Kirkw

ood and Graaff-Reinet. The approximate distance from Port Elizabeth is 52 kilometres passing through the Garden Town of Uitenhage. Our beautiful lodge overlooks the valley and promises you of an exquisite, once in a lifetime scenery and sunsets with wild antelope feeding around the lodge. At arrival you are warmly welcomed into this place of special peace and tranquility. Around the lodge you will spot an abundance of wildlife, some 17 species of South African antelope, such as Kudu, Impala, Nyala, Bushbuck, Waterbuck, Duiker, Grysbuck, Springbuck, Warthog, Bush Pig, Mongoose, Fox, Porcupine, Jackal, Meerkat, Lynx and primates such as baboon and vervet monkey.

What an incredible blessing!

We’ve received over 100mm of rain in the past 2–3 days, and we are beyond grateful. 🙏💧

For the first time since November 2024, the river is flowing again — a truly beautiful sight after such a long dry period. Nature has a way of reminding us to appreciate every drop. 🌿🌊

The bush is already starting to come alive again, and we couldn’t be more thankful for this much-needed rain. ☔🦒

Today our hearts are heavy… 💔

One of our three beautiful giraffe bulls sadly passed away after the unexpected hail storm yesterday. It’s hard to put into words how much he meant to us — his gentle nature, his presence, and the memories he gave to so many who walked alongside him.

Nature can be unpredictable, and while we understand it, it never makes moments like this any easier.

We will miss you dearly, big boy. 🦒✨
Thank you for every moment, every interaction, and every memory you gave us and our guests. You will always be part of our story.
