Breaking news: Ballito Pro postponed to later in the year

The continued COVID-19 pandemic entering its third wave in South Africa brings with it further restrictions and limitations, which subsequently affect large gatherings such as sporting and lifestyle events. As a result of the adjusted Level 2 lockdown measures announced by the President of South Africa on Sunday 30 May 2021, the Ballito Pro Presented by O’Neill scheduled for July 2021 is postponed to early December 2021.

After discussions and consultation with the KwaDukuza Municipality, the World Surf League and Surfing South Africa have elected to follow an abundance of caution approach and prioritise public health and safety and have made the difficult decision to move the event out of the high risk window of the impending Covid 19 Third Wave. This will prevent the possibility of creating “super spreader” circumstances and bringing risk to lives at large.

This is not a drill: The Ballito Pro pres. by O'Neill is back!

We will be hitting Ballito’s shores from 7th - 18th July 2021 (yes, that’s right, this year!) and it’s all systems go for another epic event down at Willard Beach, and the countdown is already on.

Whilst there will be some changes to the event and Covid-19 safety measures in place, we promise to keep you updated with all the important news and info.

We’ve missed you all and look forward to good waves and good times at the 2021 event.

We are so happy that the beaches are open again! 🏖️🏖️🏖️
Come and laze on the beach, swim in the sea or the lovely tidal pools and book a snorkel safari!
And at the end of the day you can sip a cold cocktail overlooking the beach from one of our fabulous local restaurants in Ballito.🥂🍸🍹🍻
Or just cool of in our shaded garden and have a braai.
Remember, you can bring your furry friends along for the trip 🐈🐶🐱
We are open again for holiday bookings from the 3rd of March 2021. Check our Airbnb site for updated availability and easy booking.

We are very dissapointed that our beaches are closed.
However, we still have a lovely shady garden to relax in and have a braai, the promenade is still open for a long lazy stroll, with your furry friends if they are here.
There are also great beachfront restaurants, and many outdoor activities to enjoy.
