Little White Beach Cottage is one of the oldest properties in the area, overlooking Willard’s and Surfers beaches, some of the main attraction for visitors, being a world famous surf spot and holiday playground! The cottage features 2 double bedrooms, children’s lounge (which can sleep up to 4 kids), fully equipped kitchen, TV lounge, bathroom/shower, laundry and the huge deck overlooking the ocea
n. Both bedrooms are air-conditioned, while the lounges are equipped with well cushioned couches and ceiling fans. Quality bedding is provided as well as bath and hand towels but remember to bring own beach towels. Our kitchen is filled with all the amenities you can possibly need during your stay! No dishwasher, but if you wish, the cleaning lady will come in the morning and sort that out for you, make your beds, mop the floor, just let me know… And that will be free of charge – all you need is to request it! However, if you don’t wish to have a stranger in your space or if you want to limit this service to only few times a week – please just let us know at the time of making your booking! Laundry is tiny but we managed to fit in a washing machine and the dryer as well as the ironing board and the iron… so you can feel at home, but please treat it as your own… And be nice with the neighbours! Also, please let us know if you break something or something stops working and we will do our best to fix it right away! Our state of the art security system is provided for your peace of mind. When you go out arm inside and outside, when you go to sleep arm just outside! Please note that even opening a window will set the alarm on! Huge ocean-side deck is especially designed so that nothing detracts from the incredible and uninterrupted panoramic view; Indian ocean is mere 200 meters walk away but you can observe the dolphins and wales perching right from the deck (depending on the season) just don’t forget to bring your binoculars! Braai on the deck – please bring your own charcoal and firelighters! Please use the outdoor shower, when you get back from the beach. The cottage is at once rustic, simple and contemporary, uncluttered, sunny, airy, cool, quirky, charming and laid back. This small holiday home is nestled on the rare piece of virgin land, which is more like your own wild subtropical jungle - through the back door. It’s also a home to a number of very old trees housing 100’s of different varieties of small wild life; Woodpeckers and Purple Crested Laurie’s being the most common ones and fun to observe. Our place is perfect for couples with or without kids, for beach life-style lovers, for those looking for unique, authentic places, for surfers and for artists in need of inspiration! Quite a large family of mongooses also lives on the property! Please don’t leave your food left overs outside because these guys will wake you up, they have their breakfast at sunrise! Go to sleep and wake up - with a sound of waves, rolling, crashing at the beach just down the road. There are numerous shopping centres, farmers and art & craft markets abound as well as numerous fishing, diving, swimming, snorkelling beaches in the vicinity. Let us know what are you interested in and we will assist you in any way we can! Ushaka International airport is 15 minutes’ drive, Gateway shopping centre 20 minutes, Durban 30 minutes. Umfalozi Game Park is also not far… The cottage is a smoke free area and only small dogs are allowed but this has to be prearranged. Check-in time is 16:00 and check-out 10.00
Up to 3 cars can park on the property, one in the garage and two in the courtyard. Watch out for monkeys! Please close all the doors and the windows when you go out, even if just for a swim, they are known to get inside, eat all your fruit and make terrible mess.
