The population level of African wild dogs fluctuates but is declining.

They are one of our most endangered species, because of farmers who fear for their livestock, habitat loss and diseases like rabies and canine distemper.

It is our human responsibility to stop the declining of wild dog numbers and appreciate the strength, loyalty and hunting skills these canines have.

The good news is that Rhino poaching has been decreasing since its peak in 2014, but unfortunately this decrease does not mean rhinos are now thriving. On average a rhino is killed for its horn every day.

Our biggest concern now is that the Rhino population has had no time to recover and is a difficult task to increase their numbers.

Please visit www.savetherhino.org and find out what you can do to help the fight against rhino poaching.

I live in a tightly knit social group of between 2 and 27 wild dogs. We have a strong bond and are very loyal to the pack. If one of our pack members are injured, we will look after them, bringing them food until they recover.

We are on the endangered species list, because of farmers and diseases passed on from domestic dogs.

We care about each other and do our best to protect ourselves in the wild.

I am the world's largest land animal!

I have the largest brain of any land animal and three times as many neurons as humans. My temporal lobe is highly developed which means that I can remember where we found food and water during droughts, who my friends and enemies are, where my family members passed away and I can even predict certain situations because of a memory I have of a similar situation in my past. This is why an older female will always lead our herd, because she has over 40 to 50 years of experience!

We never forget a face😉
