Nageng Lodge Mabalingwe is a lovely, tastefully furnished 5-bedroom lodge situated in the Mabalingwe Big 5 Nature Reserve just 2 hours from Johannesburg and 28 km from Bela Bela. The lodge is the ideal family getaway for nature lovers where guests can spend a few days in the quiet wildlife sanctuary set in the African bush.
The lodge comprises 5 bedrooms and can comfortably accommodate 10 adults in 5 en-suite double air-conditioned bedrooms. Bedding and bath towels are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and includes a microwave, electric oven and stove, fridge/freezer, cutlery and crockery, as well as a dishwasher and is serviced for guests convenience. The spacious lounge is fitted with an open wood fireplace and a TV with full DStv. The lovely entertainment area features a built-in braai.
Outside you will find a swimming pool and a separate boma which also features a built-in braai, as well as an open-pit fireplace with seating. Shaded parking is provided for 2 vehicles. Relax and enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of the surrounding reserve. This tranquil setting is very private and quiet, where guests can connect with nature and enjoy the indigenous fauna and flora of the area. Enjoy the wildlife roaming freely around the lodge; there is a private watering hole which attracts a variety of wildlife including nyala, warthog, impala, zebra, kudu, porcupine, and even rhino and elephant. The reserve is safe with 24-hour security and controlled access.
