Best spontaneous booking I've ever made!
I booked this lodge completely on a whim, not knowing what to expect, and it absolutely blew me away.
While many people visit for the incredible hiking trails nearby, I booked it purely as a place to relax and recharge. It exceeded every expectation I had. The lodge itself is breathtaking. The tents are beautifully designed with all the finer details that make them feel luxurious, yet somehow never pretentious. From the moment you arrive, the place seems to wrap itself around you and make you feel at home.
The owner and staff are exceptional. They make you feel less like a guest and more like a friend they haven't seen in a long time. They're warm, welcoming, and attentive, striking the perfect balance between giving you privacy and being available whenever you need anything.
During my week-long stay, I experienced everything from hot sunny days to rainy weather, and the lodge catered effortlessly to it all. At no point did I feel like anything was missing. If anything, I found myself wishing I could stay even longer.
In fact, this place is so special that part of me wants to gatekeep it and keep it as my own little secret. That's how much I loved it.
Pippa, your place is an absolute gem. Mthoko, you are an incredible host. And Lucy, you are the sassiest little ostrich I've ever met.
And how could I forget the food? The fresh produce was outstanding. Every meal was delicious, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared, with a menu that offered plenty of variety.
In short, I had an amazing time and will absolutely be back.
