August is Women’s Month in South Africa. 🌸

And while Women’s Day on 9 August is an important day to celebrate the women who came before us, we believe that recognising, appreciating and uplifting women shouldn’t stop after just one day.

Women’s Day commemorates the incredible women who marched to the Union Buildings in Pretoria on 9 August 1956, standing together against the unjust pass laws of the time. Their courage, strength and unity became an important part of South Africa’s history and a reminder of what can happen when women stand together and speak up for what is right.

But Women’s Month is about more than remembering history.

It is about celebrating the women around us today — the mothers, daughters, grandmothers, sisters, friends, colleagues, entrepreneurs, caregivers, leaders, dreamers and everyday women who quietly make a difference in the lives of others. ❤️

It is about recognising their strength, celebrating their achievements, supporting their dreams and reminding them that their voices matter.

And perhaps most importantly, it is a reminder that appreciation shouldn’t be limited to one day on the calendar.

So, as August continues, we’re taking a moment to celebrate the women who bring kindness, courage, warmth and strength into the world — not just on Women’s Day, but throughout the entire month and beyond.
