If you’re new here, hello and WELCOME 🥰

is situated in the vibrant heart of Bloemfontein, directly across from Grey College School and conveniently close to major shopping centres and sports facilities. The owners of the guesthouse, Francois and Luzaan Venter, grew up in Bloemfontein and attended Grey College and Oranje Girls’ School, respectively. Francois is a former player for the Cheetah’s rugby team and holds a special place in his heart for his alma mater. This sentiment inspired the decision to maintain the association and relationship with both the school and the previous Sir George Grey Guesthouse, which we now proudly call @ Greys Guesthouse.

Our vision was to create a welcoming space where guests can feel at home while traveling—a place they can genuinely consider their second home. We love seeing our guests return time and again and witnessing how this vision has come to life. We can’t wait to welcome you! 🤍

Our Guesthouse

Our guesthouse is located in the heart of Bloemfontein, right across from Grey College School and in close relation to main shopping centres and sports facilities. The owners of the guesthouse, Francois and Luzaan Venter, grew up in Bloemfontein and attended Grey College and Oranje Girls’ School respectively. Francois is a Springbok rugby player and the former captain of the Cheetah’s rugby team and has a very special place for his alma mater in his heart. It was this sentiment that led to the decision to keep the association and relationship with both the school and the previous Sir George Grey Guesthouse and call it @ Greys Guesthouse.

“We both spent most of our childhood in Bloemfontein, therefore we have a very strong connection with the city and people. Sir George Grey Guesthouse was established in 1994. When we saw that the property was for sale, we both felt that it was an opportunity that we could not let pass. We have enjoyed many hours sharing our dreams and visions for the historical building with each other, our family and friends and we have watched our dreams turn into reality.

We proudly present @ Greys Guesthouse. The open-plan, elegant architecture enables us to communicate with our guests on an interactive level; while our well-situated rooms provide each guest with the privacy they need. Our slogan represents the three elements that make our Guesthouse unique to Bloemfontein: “Convenient” – describing the location and setting, “Elegant” – describing our beautiful architecture and décor and “Classy” – describing the experience our guests are promised."

@ Greys is conveniently located close to main attractions in Bloemfontein and is in walking distance from Eunice School, College Square Shopping Centre, Absa Bank, Mimosa Mall, Brandwag Shopping Centre, Loch Logan Mall, Mediclinic Hospital, University of the Free State, Free State Stadium and many more.
