Green cloudy water – what are the possible causes?

1. Possible algae problem?
o Usually free floating green algae. Refer to green algae treatment.

2. Storm damage? (High levels of debris in pool after storm)
o Check and adjust pH to 7.4-7.6.
o Use BioGuard Burn Out to shock treat the pool (1 bag per 45, 000 l).
o Apply BioGuard Kwik Clear (100 ml per 10,000 l).
o Circulate water for 2 hours on bypass.
o Shut off the pump for 12 to 24 hours.
o Vacuum to “waste”. Use a manual vacuum sweeper.
o Use BioGuard Super Clear tablets to trap remaining dirt.
o Backwash every 6-12 hours until water is clear.
