Now is a great time to get your lines in the water at Roodekoppies Hengeloord!

💧 The water in front of the resort has been quite clear of water hyacinth for almost a week, giving anglers plenty of open water to fish. As always, conditions can change depending on the wind direction.

🐋 And the BIG FISH are moving!
Some beautiful big carp came out over the weekend, and Roodekoppies is once again showing what this dam can produce! 🔥

We are also working hard to keep the dam frontage and fishing areas as clean and accessible as possible for our anglers.

Robert Stuart and his peg mate arrived at Roodekoppies Hengeloord on Friday afternoon, 4 September, ready for a relaxing weekend next to the water… but Saturday afternoon had something completely different in store for them! 😎🎣

The alarms started SCREAMING and the fish were on! 🔥🔥

What followed was a session they won’t forget anytime soon, with BOTH anglers smashing their personal bests! 🏆👏

Robert landed an absolute BUS of a carp weighing an incredible 19.5 kg! 🐋💥🎣

There is nothing quite like hearing those alarms scream and knowing that a new PB could be waiting on the other end of the line!

Roodekoppies Hengeloord! 🎣🔥 🎣 WAT ’N AAND BY ROODEKOPPIES HENGELOORD! 🎣

Shaun Kroon het Vrydag, 4 September, om ongeveer 17:30 by Roodekoppies Hengeloord aangekom, en dit het nie lank geneem voordat die aksie begin het nie!

Shaun was die gelukkige wenner van hierdie visvangnaweek by FK17, en hy het beslis sy prys ten volle benut! 🏆🎣

Drie runs voor middernag Vrydagaand,🔥 Die eerste vis is ongelukkig weens takke onder die water verloor, maar sy tweede run het ’n pragtige 14.8 kg karp opgelewer — ’n nuwe PB! 🏆

Toe, nog voor middernag, skree die derde alarm… en hierdie keer was dit ’n absolute MONSTER! 💥🎣

Shaun het dieselfde aand nóg ’n keer sy PB verpletter met ’n ongelooflike 21.7 kg karp! 🐋🏆

🔥 Van 14.8 kg na 21.7 kg in een aand! 🔥
