Today we’re celebrating a very special one!

We’re incredibly proud to have received the “Been Lekke Since 2018” Award from LekkeSlaap — recognising Caledon Grace for the wonderful guest experiences we’ve created over the years. 🏡❤️

For us, it’s much more than just an award. It’s a little reminder that all the love, hard work and attention we put into making our guests feel at home really does matter.

🌿 A Special Day at Caledon Grace ❤️

We had the pleasure of welcoming a wonderful group from Pebbles Project Trust to Caledon Grace for a day focused on professionalism in the workplace.

It was lovely to spend time with them, share a little of what happens behind the scenes in hospitality, and give them a glimpse into the professional world.

We believe that opportunities like these can play a small part in building confidence, opening doors and helping young people build a brighter future for themselves. ❤️

Meer oor Mel Botes:

Mel Botes is a South African guitar virtuoso, singer, composer, and poet known for inventive, deeply personal conceptual rock shows. His music fuses his classical training with jazz, blues, and the sweeping influences of Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Dire Straits, The Beatles and more, often swinging between bittersweet ballads and sudden storms of noise/explosive energy.

His first commercial breakthrough was the four-part rock opera David’s Confession, now considered a cornerstone of South African rock, and later he created the acclaimed show Crazy Diamond – A Tribute to Pink Floyd. Other works include Flight of Bird, a multimedia rock extravaganza, and the Afrikaans concept album Oomblik van Waansin, which won him the Geraas Music award: Songwriter of the Year in 2001.

In 2005 Mel shared the stage with Queen, Will Smith, Katy Melua, Annie Lennox, and Paul Rodgers at Nelson Mandela’s 46664 concert. He has composed for film and television and acted in the popular t.v. series Song vir Katryn. He is currently writing interactive audiovisual book for Flight of Bird. In August 2026, his rock opera returns internationally with David’s Confession – About Time Chapter 2.

He is currently working on the very final stages of his original work: The River Symphony which comprise of 8 movements and will be released internationally at the end of September 2026.

Mel owns an independent recording, production and publishing label called Afrimuse Records.

From 9 September onwards, we are opening Die Dam Farmstall Kitchen, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome the legendary Ullie Egbert Niemand of Lekkerbek Catering to the Caledon Grace family! ❤️🥳

Ullie will be joining us full-time as the Creative Chef behind Die Dam Farmstall Kitchen, bringing his passion for good food, big flavours and cooking over the fire to our beautiful farmstall.

Winter is the perfect time to refresh, restore and prepare for another beautiful season at Caledon Grace ✨

Over the past few weeks we’ve been busy with maintenance throughout the house and guest rooms to ensure every stay is as comfortable as ever. But we certainly didn’t forget our youngest guests!

From a brand-new play area and refreshed treehouse to a trampoline and lots of new toys, there’s even more for little adventurers to enjoy while parents relax and soak up the peaceful surroundings.

We can’t wait to welcome returning friends and first-time visitors to experience all the new additions.

🚗✨ A weekend to remember.

A few weekends ago we had the pleasure of welcoming a wonderful group of vintage car enthusiasts to Caledon Grace.

After spending their days exploring the breathtaking roads and scenery of the Overberg, they returned to relax over good food, drinks, laughter and great conversations. From beautifully restored classics to unforgettable memories, it was a privilege to be part of their journey.

At Caledon Grace, we love hosting groups looking for something a little different—whether it’s a classic car tour, cycling club, hiking group, golf getaway, family reunion, corporate retreat or simply a weekend away with friends.

Our spacious gardens, comfortable accommodation, Die Dam restaurant, cosy indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, and warm hospitality make us the perfect base to explore everything the Overberg has to offer.
