Villa Mira | Woodbridge Island
When a home is as close to 100 years old as this one, the feeling of history becomes tangible. Built nearly a century ago for an aristocratic family and later home to the High Commissioner of the United Kingdom, there’s an unmistakable sense of memory in the air. Countless stories have played out between these walls.
Faithfully restored, the home's Spanish Revival architecture shines, from vaulted ceilings and wide arched windows to hand-painted tiles and twisting chimneys. Inside, an inspired collection includes work by Lulama Wolf, William Kentridge and Gabrielle Kruger.
Today, Villa Mira welcomes a new generation of travellers.
