Come experience the w**e, waves and nightlife in the midst of all the activity in center city Cape Town. The energetic and social atmosphere Long Street Backpackers promotes will either over-stimulate or help to fulfill your Cape Town expectations. But be assured, the attention to safety and amenities made available will help to ease the mind. In any case, we're not going to tell you Long Street Backpackers is the best place to stay, come on in for a drink at our fully stocked bar and you can tell us. Long Street Backpackers is the heart of Cape Town's nightlife with 24h police surveillance. We are the only hostel in Cape Town that has a police surveillance camera right on our doorstep! It's the center of all backpacking activity. Long Street is to Cape Town what King's Cross is to Sydney or Khoisan Rd is to Bangkok. We are in the city center and therefore within walking distance of everything that you would need. Long Street is the busiest party street in Cape Town, ask anybody! Even though we are in the city center, you wouldn't know it sitting (or sunbathing!) in our sunny flower filled court yard.

Welcome to the new LSB! ✨

Fresh paint, fresh beds, fresh linen, fresh fittings, fresh bar, fresh art, fresh vibes - a whooooole lot of change (and many, many more plants!), but a ton of the same great people from around the world who’ve been here from beginning!

We are finally done with renovations (bar for a few more pictures to hang) and we cannot wait to welcome you! 💫 stay tuned for our launch party coming soon 🥂 🍻 but in the meantime come join us for one (or all 😉) of our weekly events! B**r Pong, Karaoke, Quiz night, live music - we have it all 🎶 and best of all, we now host events at both our new bar and downstairs venue 🎉

We’ve loved seeing the huge upliftment project taking place on Long Street and are so proud to be part of a huge movement around Cape Town to better our surroundings and give those visiting us the best experience possible in this most beautiful city we get to call home! ⛰️ 🌅 🌊 🐧 🐘 🍷 🎉 Cape Town literally has it all! And our favourite part about LSB, is all the different people we get to connect with and learn from.

THANK YOU, our support, for being a huge part of our progress!
